Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Costa Rica's Axel Tasis started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Alexander Carballo hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. Ulises Millrick received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Benito Sanz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 15 minutes of play, MarDel's Marco Gonchan made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Benito Sanz was left in no man's land by his defense there! 20 minutes into the match, MarDel's goal looked a bit too open when Axel Tasis came free, but Matias Cordarrol reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 22nd minute, Eliseo Noboa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Matias Cordarrol made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Axel Tasis in the 31st minute of play. In the 32nd minute Costa Rica were awarded a corner. Axel Tasis went to the cornerflag to take it. In the 33rd match minute, MarDel was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edgard Bartuelo to maneuver through the defense. Through an outstanding action, after 35 minutes, Matias Cordarrol successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Alan Moruga hit a great ball. When Silvano Hondo came up free with the goalie in the 48th minute, the MarDel fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Silvano Hondo couldn't finish the play. The Costa Rica players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. MarDel were winning 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Silvano Hondo was the one to do the kick off. A collision led to MarDel getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Genaro Aimar hit a great ball. 54 minutes into the match, Eliseo Noboa had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Matias Cordarrol. MarDel's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Eliseo Noboa was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. After 56 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Eliseo Noboa. Silvano Hondos short, quick shot in the 60thth minute got Benito Sanz to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Eliseo Noboa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 66th minute, Juan Rubio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A hard shot by Genaro Aimar from long distance, 67 minutes into the match, got Benito Sanz's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Axel Tasis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Matias Cordarrol made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Axel Tasis in the 70th minute of play. Marcos Florin kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. In the 73rd minute, Alexander Carballo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Silvano Hondo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Matias Cordarrol made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Axel Tasis in the 84th minute of play. 93 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's Axel Tasis sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Matias Cordarrol narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
