Marcos Cotilla showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hermano lago, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. After a rather tough play, Paço Futebol Clube's Gualter Lobato got a free kick in the 4th minute. Hélio Neto made a fantastic save in the 5th minute, when Abraham Alguacil sent off a good shot on target. After some careless play in the Panama defense, Claudemiro Santana kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marcos Cotilla. The Panama fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marcos Cotilla should have stopped the shot. In the 11th minute, Tomas Berganza got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Tomas Berganza recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gualter Lobato in the 16th minute of play forced Panama's goalkeeper Marcos Cotilla to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Joel Veloso hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Abraham Alguacil's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hélio Neto read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 19th minute of play. After some careless play in the Panama defense, Claudemiro Santana kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marcos Cotilla. The Panama fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marcos Cotilla should have stopped the shot. 30 minutes into the match, Silvério Taveira notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of Panama's Marcos Cotilla. Marcos Cotilla was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a rather tough play, Panama's Tomas Berganza got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Marcos Cotilla showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Silvério Taveira, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. In the 38th match minute, Panama was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aaron Barrios to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Tomas Berganza's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hélio Neto was relentless in the 42nd minute of the game. Marcos Cotilla showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Claudemiro Santana, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

In the 52nd minute, Abraham Alguacil ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Hélio Neto was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-3. Hélio Neto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Berganza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 56 minutes, Silvério Taveira made it 2-4 with a short kick to the right side. Panama's Marcos Cotilla tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 60th minute Silvério Taveira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcos Cotilla saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Paço Futebol Clube's zone, Tomas Berganza stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hélio Neto came out of the goal and Tomas Berganza tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, Panama's Marcos Cotilla got control of the ball when Hermano lago tried to sneak it across the goal line. 68 minutes into the match, Panama's goal looked a bit too open when Silvério Taveira came free, but Marcos Cotilla reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice moves Hermano lago could shoot a difficult shot in the 71st minute, which Marcos Cotilla however easily saved by the left post. Marcos Cotilla didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Hermano lago went, in the 73rd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-5 was the resulting score. Abraham Alguacil recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Marcos Cotilla made a fantastic save in the 79th minute, when Hermano lago sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to Panama getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Aaron Barrios hit a great ball. With a little luck, Panama's Marcos Cotilla got control of the ball when Tarcísio Guterres tried to sneak it across the goal line. Paço Futebol Clube's Hélio Neto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Berganza in the 85th minute of play. Tomas Berganza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hélio Neto having to interfere. In the 90th minute Abraham Alguacil shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hélio Neto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Panama's Marcos Cotilla got control of the ball when Hermano lago tried to sneak it across the goal line. 95 minutes into the match, Paço Futebol Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Miguel Miralles came free, but Hélio Neto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Paço Futebol Clube walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
