The Ecuador fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. 22 minutes into the game, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bogdan Lobonț made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Bogdan Lobonț showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Agustín Saelices sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 29 minutes into the match, A4p Dejani's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Bogdan Lobonț reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Isac Mihălțan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A4p Dejani's Bogdan Lobonț played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luis Andino in the 35th minute of play. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half Ecuador were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Daniel Zorita made the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, A4p Dejani's goalkeeper Bogdan Lobonț had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Zorita. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Daniel Zorita hit a great ball. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Isac Mihălțan, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. Bogdan Lobonț took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luis Andino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bogdan Lobonț made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 60th minute. The supporters of Ecuador booed when A4p Dejani was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Michael Klein didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Felix Montenegro hit a great ball. Marius Niculae struck a weak shot in the 75th minute. Julio Vera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for A4p Dejani. The A4p Dejani fans' excitement grew in the 76th match minute when A4p Dejani's Isac Mihălțan looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. When Daniel Zorita came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Zorita couldn't finish the play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Isac Mihălțan in the 81st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Isac Mihălțan in the 84th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Bogdan Lobonț in the 88th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 89th minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. A4p Dejani's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. The A4p Dejani fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Ecuador were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
