After 25 minutes, Ollie Flesfadar mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Australian Youth Academy and the Venezuela players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ollie Flesfadar kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Jose Correa blasted a shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dani Cochrane having to make a save. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The audience was convinced that Tomas Illescas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dani Cochrane was relentless in the 34th minute of the game. When Tomas Illescas, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 34 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Dani Cochrane was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. In the 36th minute the ball was on its way in behind Australian Youth Academy's goalkeeper Dani Cochrane, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joshua Secada in the 38th minute of play forced Australian Youth Academy's goalkeeper Dani Cochrane to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had gone on for 39 minutes, Tomas Illescas put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Dani Cochrane. Dani Cochrane didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Patricio Costa went, in the 42nd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The wind increased when Olliver Todman made the kick off in the second half. Salvador Gisbert's late challenge caught a Australian Youth Academy's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Salvador Gisbert helped the player get up and apologised. In the 55th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Salvador Gisbert to maneuver through the defense. 58 minutes into the match, Australian Youth Academy's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Illescas came free, but Dani Cochrane reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Australian Youth Academy's Ollie Flesfadar got a free kick in the 61st minute. Tomas Illescas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Dani Cochrane tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tomas Illescas's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 88thth minute, Dani Cochrane skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. If Patricio Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 94 minutes in the game, Patricio Costa fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Dani Cochrane having to interfere.
