Venezuela's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. After a defensive mix-up in Venezuela's zone, Loco Faso stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal and Loco Faso tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jonathan Ferrant didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Miguel Ramirez went, in the 21st minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Miguel Ramirez in the 29th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 30th minute, Alex Chicote hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Miguel Ramirez blasted a shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jonathan Ferrant having to make a save. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tomas Illescas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 55 minutes into the match, Miguel Ramirez had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Miguel Ramirez was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. Miguel Ramirez might have been able to make a better finish in the 61st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jonathan Ferrant. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Miguel Ramirez ran back to his position shaking his head. Tomas Illescas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eugenio Molina having to interfere. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Miguel Ramirez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Miguel Ramirez, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. Alex Chicote kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match.
