An unexpectedly hard shot by Lv Lei in the 21st minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lv Lei might have been able to make a better finish in the 35th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Julio Vera. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Lv Lei ran back to his position shaking his head. Julio Vera had in the 40thth minute some difficulties stopping Lv Lei's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Halil Utku Evvah stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cristian Sancho's shot from short distance in the 42nd minute. In the 47th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. KOO Tigers's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Hilmi Onursan in the 48th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Daniel Zorita made the kick off in the second half. Daniel Zorita charged in rather forcefully in the 54th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Lv Lei fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. KOO Tigers were victorious despite being under pressure from Ecuador for much of the match.
