RIBEIRÃO FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 7th minute, when Alfonso Goicoechea scored to the left of an out of position Angelo Ongile, making the score, 2-0. 12 minutes into the match, RIBEIRÃO FC's goal looked a bit too open when Alfonso Goicoechea came free, but Angelo Ongile reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice moves Carlo Darrigrande could shoot a difficult shot in the 16th minute, which Angelo Ongile however easily saved by the left post. Rubén Martínez's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Angelo Ongile firmly grabbed it by the left post. Darío Friederichs took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lukáš Modrić, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Angelo Ongile made a fantastic save in the 21st minute, when Rubén Martínez sent off a good shot on target. 23 minutes into the match, RIBEIRÃO FC's goalkeeper Angelo Ongile had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rubén Martínez. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lukáš Modrić in the 31st minute of play forced Chile's goalkeeper Darío Friederichs to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfonso Goicoechea in the 33rd minute of play forced RIBEIRÃO FC's goalkeeper Angelo Ongile to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Angelo Ongile showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlo Darrigrande, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. Angelo Ongile made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rubén Martínez in the 40th minute. When Chile's Alfonso Goicoechea in the 41st minute got a chance for a shot 41st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Angelo Ongile showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rubén Martínez, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. After a rather tough play, Chile's Bautista Marcó got a free kick in the 53rd minute. Darío Friederichs made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mariano Admon in the 54th minute of play. In the 56th minute, Rubén Martínez ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Angelo Ongile was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. Angelo Ongile showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alfonso Goicoechea in the 61st minute of the match. Chile's Darío Friederichs played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mariano Admon in the 64th minute of play. In the 65th minute, Alfonso Goicoechea left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Chile fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. Chile's Rogelio Mendiola was substituted for Alfonso Goicoechea. Darío Friederichs showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lukáš Modrić, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. Carlo Darrigrande sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Carlo Darrigrande's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Angelo Ongile read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 76th minute of play. The supporters of Chile booed when RIBEIRÃO FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nelson de Lara didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Carlo Darrigrande came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Chile fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Carlo Darrigrande couldn't finish the play. In the 85th minute, Claudio-Paul Pirinchev got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 88th minute, Carlo Darrigrande made a precise shot to the right of Angelo Ongile. RIBEIRÃO FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-0. Nelson de Lara made in the 92nd minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Mariano Admon however managed to control. 93 minutes into the match, Carlo Darrigrande had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Angelo Ongile. RIBEIRÃO FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Carlo Darrigrande was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-0. Chile's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
