Hugon Lenertej showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maximiliano Escribano, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. 柯铮坤 kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice moves Francisco Seco could shoot a difficult shot in the 11th minute, which Hugon Lenertej however easily saved by the left post. Jorge Sainz made in the 15th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by SS SuperSonics's Zachariasz Kaczucha. A collision led to SS SuperSonics getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Boguslaw Motowski hit a great ball. The supporters of Uruguay booed when SS SuperSonics was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bogumil Misiorowski didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ganga Banga in the 22nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Joaquin Gayoso saved Uruguay from getting behind. Francisco Seco could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 24th minute of the match, but Hugon Lenertej made a huge save. Maximiliano Escribano could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Hugon Lenertej made a huge save. After some careless play in the SS SuperSonics defense, Francisco Seco kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Hugon Lenertej. The SS SuperSonics fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hugon Lenertej should have stopped the shot. The audience was convinced that Maximiliano Escribano's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hugon Lenertej was relentless in the 29th minute of the game. Jorge Sainz kicked well hit freekick during the 48th minute of the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Boguslaw Motowski's late challenge caught a Uruguay's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Boguslaw Motowski helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, SS SuperSonics's Boguslaw Motowski got a free kick in the 53rd minute. With a little luck, Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso got control of the ball when Ganga Banga tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jorge Sainz made in the 91st minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Francisco Seco however managed to control. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ganga Banga got free with Joaquin Gayoso in the 96th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Uruguay's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
