Tomas Illescas who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 39thth minute tested the skills of İsmail Akyol when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Salvador Gisbert got a free kick in the 44th minute. Naci Talha charged in rather forcefully in the 46th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Naci Talha the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 48 minutes play. Patricio Costa hit a great ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Necat Süngü made the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Venezuela booed when Andırın SK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Naci Talha didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 73 played minutes Andırın SK got a freekick which was hit by Bekir Tarık. When Tomas Illescas came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the Venezuela fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomas Illescas couldn't finish the play. 90 minutes had been played when some careless play by Andırın SK's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Tomas Illescas was slow to take the kick. During this time Venezuela's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Venezuela's Tomas Illescas to fire away a dangerous shot which İsmail Akyol despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Venezuela's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
