Mateo Leguizamo charged in rather forcefully in the 22nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mateo Leguizamo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 22 played minutes El Salvador got a freekick which was hit by Mateo Leguizamo. 23 minutes into the match, El Salvador's goalkeeper Ricardo Zorita had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Günalp Akcebe. Haşmet Muhteşem sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of El Salvador booed when Kahyaspor was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Serhan Eyüpoğlu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Zafer Pınar showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Moises Fernandino made the kick off in the second half. An unexpected shot in the 54th minute by Moises Fernandino got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. 56 minutes into the game, Kahyaspor's Zafer Pınar nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ricardo Zorita made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. Ricardo Zorita stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Peter Kobliček's shot from short distance in the 59th minute. In the 62nd minute Zafer Pınar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ricardo Zorita saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 65 minutes into the match, Peter Kobliček had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ricardo Zorita. El Salvador's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Peter Kobliček was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. The supporters of El Salvador booed when Kahyaspor was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Berker Ekvan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Abram Luque might have been able to make a better finish in the 73rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Nadir Siddik. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Abram Luque ran back to his position shaking his head. If Moises Fernandino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Abram Luque got free with Nadir Siddik in the 77th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 78 played minutes El Salvador got a freekick which was hit by Jorge Magrina. Ricardo Zorita came out of the goal in the 79th minute to try and stop a shot by Kahyaspor's Haşmet Muhteşem. But to his dismay, Haşmet Muhteşem quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-0. Ricardo Zorita showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zafer Pınar, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. Marco Tamayo hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. 86 minutes into the match, Kahyaspor's goalkeeper Nadir Siddik had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Moises Fernandino. Peter Kobliček fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ricardo Zorita having to interfere. Moises Fernandino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Nadir Siddik tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Reşit Nejat kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. Kahyaspor's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
