The supporters of Venezuela booed when C.A.Independiente was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fabian Ipar didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tomas Illescas made a kick off. Patricio Costa helped the player get up and apologised. After 61 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Patricio Costa. In the 61st minute Heigo Luiga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jonathan Ferrant stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Justino Confesor's shot from short distance in the 94th minute. C.A.Independiente were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Venezuela for a fine match.
