The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Cihangir Türkol's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. Colombia's Pedro Manzanares proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to save Colombia from getting a goal against them. Pedro Manzanares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Levan Dost in the 19th minute of play. A collision led to 1stanbuL FootbaLL CluB getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. İbrahim Kerdiğe hit a great ball. In the 27th minute, Levan Dost reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Pedro Manzanares. The goal made the score 2-0. Colombia's Antonio Indiano managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Ahmet Sedat Umut in the 36 minute of the game. Farid Mondragon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Axel Montenegro in the 37th minute of the match. 1stanbuL FootbaLL CluB's Farid Mondragon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Axel Montenegro in the 37th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Levan Dost's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Pedro Manzanares was relentless in the 43rd minute of the game. In the 45th minute, Levan Dost got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Levan Dost stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Levan Dost had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Pedro Manzanares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Levan Dost in the 54th minute of play. Pedro Manzanares came out of the goal in the 60th minute to try and stop a shot by 1stanbuL FootbaLL CluB's Levan Dost. But to his dismay, Levan Dost quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. Farid Mondragon made an important save on a dangerous shot by Axel Montenegro in the 64th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Santino Seco in the 65th minute of play forced 1stanbuL FootbaLL CluB's goalkeeper Farid Mondragon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Axel Montenegro kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Farid Mondragon. That made the score 4-2 in the 70 minute of play. 75 minutes into the game, Ahmet Sedat Umut threw the ball into play from the sideline. Colombia's Antonio Indiano quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. In the 79th minute, Colombia's Santino Seco dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 4-3. 1stanbuL FootbaLL CluB made a substitution. Ferit Yerlikaya replaced Ahmet Sedat Umut. A throw-in in the 83rd minute of the game was made by Antonio Indiano with Luis Cazalla as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Colombia's Pedro Manzanares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Levan Dost in the 84th minute of play. 1stanbuL FootbaLL CluB's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Levan Dost in the 88th minute. After taking down the ball on 1stanbuL FootbaLL CluB's corner Cihangir Türkol fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Pedro Manzanares quite easily take care of the ball. Abram Secada could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 96th minute of the match, but Farid Mondragon made a huge save. Colombia's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
