Dagoberto Guimarães took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eliseo Noboa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lautaro Puig struck a weak shot in the 4th minute. Dagoberto Guimarães didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Costa Rica. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vitinho Hoffmann in the 10th minute of play. Benito Sanz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vitinho Hoffmann, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. After 16 minutes of play, Loud Academy FC's Vitinho Hoffmann made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Benito Sanz was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Iuri Mota had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Abel Carballo charged in rather forcefully in the 21st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Abel Carballo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 21st match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abel Carballo to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edson Queiroz in the 33rd minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 42 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's Lautaro Puig sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dagoberto Guimarães narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Eliseo Noboa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 45th minute, Alexander Carballo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adhemar Dantas in the 47th minute of the match. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Eliseo Noboa made the kick off in the second half. Cássio Linares recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 57 minutes into the game, Vitinho Hoffmann cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Benito Sanz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Vitinho Hoffmann could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 65th minute of the match, but Benito Sanz made a huge save. 68 minutes into the match, Loud Academy FC's Adhemar Dantas broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. In the 76th minute of the match, Edson Queiroz got a very nice opportunity to score, but Benito Sanz was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Jefferson Saldanha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Edson Queiroz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 81st minute of the match, but Benito Sanz made a huge save. Benito Sanz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Vitinho Hoffmann's shot from short distance in the 83rd minute. Clemente Lara struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Benito Sanz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Loud Academy FC. Loud Academy FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
