In the 30th minute the ball was on its way in behind One Piece FC's goalkeeper Inocencio Felipo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 31 minutes had been played when some careless play by One Piece FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Ecuador's Felix Montenegro to a score. 0-2 in the 31st minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Orlando Orlando kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Julio Vera. That made the score 1-2 in the 35 minute of play. Orlando Orlando received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Julio Vera came out and tried to block the shot, but Orlando Orlando slotted it home off the left post making it 2-2 in the 39th minute. Inocencio Felipo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Daniel Zorita struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Inocencio Felipo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

The wind increased when Daniel Zorita made the kick off in the second half. In the 50th minute, Orlando Rivera hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. One Piece FC's Inocencio Felipo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 51st minute of the match, managed to save One Piece FC from getting a goal against them. When Felix Montenegro came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Felix Montenegro couldn't finish the play. Primitivo Andino kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Inocencio Felipo having to interfere. After a rather tough play, One Piece FC's Orlando Rivera got a free kick in the 72nd minute. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Orlando Orlando, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Xurxo Cladera in the 76th minute of the match. In the 77th minute One Piece FC were awarded a corner. Orlando Eneche went to the cornerflag to take it. Orlando Orlando might have been able to make a better finish in the 88th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Julio Vera. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Orlando Orlando ran back to his position shaking his head. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Orlando Orlando in the 88th minute of the match. In the 95th minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. Ecuador were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
