After a rather tough play, Errecaborda AFC's Rogelio Jakes got a free kick in the 6th minute. In the 7th play minute Guillermo Fontirroig came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Edmond Verdun. 1-0. Mariano Lacasa who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 12thth minute tested the skills of Edmond Verdun when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Thiago Pliego took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pastor Ado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Chile booed when Errecaborda AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rogelio Jakes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Edmond Verdun showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Orlando Casaus in the 15th minute of the match. 16 minutes into the match, Chile's goal looked a bit too open when Pastor Ado came free, but Thiago Pliego reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thiago Pliego made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pastor Ado in the 16th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pastor Ado in the 21st minute of play forced Chile's goalkeeper Thiago Pliego to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 22nd minute Mariano Lacasa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edmond Verdun saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mariano Lacasa blasted a shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Edmond Verdun having to make a save. Thiago Pliego took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pastor Ado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Edmond Verdun showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Mariano Lacasa ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 33rd minute Pastor Ado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thiago Pliego saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 43rd match minute, Chile was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pedro Indiano to maneuver through the defense. Mariano Lacasa might have been able to make a better finish in the 46th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Edmond Verdun. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mariano Lacasa ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 46th minute of play forced Errecaborda AFC's goalkeeper Edmond Verdun to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Errecaborda AFC's Rogelio Jakes got his second yellow card of the match in the 48th minute. The referee ordered Rogelio Jakes off the ground. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Edmond Verdun took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mariano Lacasa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Edmond Verdun didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chile. Jose Manzanedo hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Chile fans cheered their team off the field, for while Errecaborda AFC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
