Ricardo Zorita was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. El Salvador's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rolando Alley was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 10-0. In the 95th minute, Tom Wassenius ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ricardo Zorita was frozen by the shot and now it was 15-0.
