To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 30 minutes into the game, Tom Wassenius cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-5. Bruno Barrett was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rolando Alley in the 32nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bruno Barrett prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Bruno Barrett stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rolando Alley's shot from short distance in the 34th minute. Bruno Barrett made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emiliano Sotil in the 35th minute of play. The Atlético de Caracas fans' excitement grew in the 37th match minute when Atlético de Caracas's Rolando Alley looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-6 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Curacao's Bruno Barrett played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emiliano Sotil in the 41st minute of play. In the 44th minute, Rolando Alley left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Atlético de Caracas fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-7. After the first half Atlético de Caracas were leading 0-7. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Atlético de Caracas's Aires Laguno was substituted for Nazmija Stojković. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rolando Alley made a kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Aires Laguno dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Bruno Barrett, 0-8. After 55th play minutes Aires Laguno shot 0-9, a short shot which went by Bruno Barrett and just under the crossbar into goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Aires Laguno got free with Bruno Barrett in the 58th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Sixto Lluc sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Atlético de Caracas's Nuno Santarém was substituted for Rolando Alley. The audience was convinced that Nuno Santarém's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bruno Barrett was relentless in the 91st minute of the game. Bruno Barrett showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nuno Santarém in the 92nd minute of the match. In the 93rd minute, Atlético de Caracas's Tom Wassenius ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Bruno Barrett. Bruno Barrett yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-17. Tom Wassenius struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Bruno Barrett didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Atlético de Caracas. Atlético de Caracas's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
