Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Cullan Dimson made the kick off which started today's match. Pat Walker stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Axel Tasis's shot from short distance in the 5th minute. Cullan Dimsons short, quick shot in the 8thth minute got Benito Sanz to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Pat Walker showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alan Moruga, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. If Lautaro Puig had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cullan Dimsons short, quick shot in the 22ndth minute got Benito Sanz to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. With his leg Benito Sanz managed to avoid a goal in the 24thth minute, when Dhún na nGall™'s Cullan Dimson fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The audience was convinced that Axel Tasis's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Pat Walker was relentless in the 26th minute of the game. Eliseo Noboa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pat Walker didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lautaro Puig went, in the 32nd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Alexander Carballo hit a great ball. Pat Walker took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aaron Alcocer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Cullan Dimson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Benito Sanz was relentless in the 42nd minute of the game. Pat Walker showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Axel Tasis in the 46th minute of the match. Axel Tasis scored 0-2 in the 47th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Pat Walker, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Axel Tasis was the one to do the kick off. When the match clock showed 62 minutes, the score became 2-2 when Cullan Dimson sped through Costa Rica's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Benito Sanz. Eliseo Noboa blasted a shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Pat Walker having to make a save. 69 minutes into the game, Eliseo Noboa recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Pat Walker. Eliseo Noboa showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-3. Ravan Callaghan hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Axel Tasis's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Pat Walker read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 74th minute of play. Pat Walker was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Eliseo Noboa showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-4 in the 76 minute of play. A collision led to Dhún na nGall™ getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. John Myler hit a great ball. In the 81st minute Axel Tasis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pat Walker saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 85 played minutes Eliseo Noboa rounded Dhún na nGall™'s defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 2-5. After 89 minutes of play, Costa Rica's Eliseo Noboa made it 2-6 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Pat Walker was left in no man's land by his defense there! With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cullan Dimson in the 93rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Benito Sanz saved Costa Rica from getting behind. If Bairthmead Hunt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bairthmead Hunt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benito Sanz having to interfere. The Costa Rica supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Costa Rica would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
