AZAT MARD FC's Jon Waller was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Julio Vera in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. When AZAT MARD FC's Marcus Lagerberg, in the 10th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for AZAT MARD FC. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jon Waller in the 13th minute of play. After some careless play in the AZAT MARD FC defense, Daniel Zorita kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Pär Löfdahl. The AZAT MARD FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pär Löfdahl should have stopped the shot. Pär Löfdahl made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 16th minute of play. The corner led Ecuador's Juan Sebastián Puig to fire away a dangerous shot which Pär Löfdahl despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After 20 minutes, Jon Waller made it 2-1 with a short kick to the right side. Ecuador's Julio Vera tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 31st minute of the match, Daniel Zorita got a very nice opportunity to score, but Pär Löfdahl was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Thanks to some nice moves Daniel Zorita could shoot a difficult shot in the 32nd minute, which Pär Löfdahl however easily saved by the left post. After 33 minutes AZAT MARD FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. AZAT MARD FC's Pär Löfdahl proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 35th minute of the match, managed to save AZAT MARD FC from getting a goal against them. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Martin Olsman in the 39th minute of the match. When Cristian Sancho came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristian Sancho couldn't finish the play. After having played for 45 minutes, Marcus Lagerberg managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. AZAT MARD FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marcus Lagerberg was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in AZAT MARD FC's zone, Daniel Zorita stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pär Löfdahl came out of the goal and Daniel Zorita tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

Julio Vera made an important save on a dangerous shot by Elias Ståhlberg in the 56th minute. The audience was convinced that Jon Waller's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julio Vera was relentless in the 56th minute of the game. After 57 minutes Ecuador's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Jon Waller who took care of the corner kick. 58 minutes into the game, AZAT MARD FC's Karl-Erik Hellsing nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Julio Vera made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-3. AZAT MARD FC's Pär Löfdahl played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 64th minute of play. Ecuador's Cristian Sancho got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. AZAT MARD FC's Sebastian Åkerman was substituted for Jon Waller. AZAT MARD FC's Stellan Åhlberg was substituted for Börje Vesterberg. After 75 played minutes AZAT MARD FC got a freekick which was hit by Martin Olsman. After 76 played minutes AZAT MARD FC got a freekick which was hit by Martin Olsman. When Luis Andino came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luis Andino couldn't finish the play. Martin Olsman hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, AZAT MARD FC's Marcus Lagerberg got a free kick in the 94th minute. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Pär Löfdahl tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The AZAT MARD FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing AZAT MARD FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
