The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Zach Harrison had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Konstanty Wawro didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cassius Byrne went, in the 6th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Konstanty Wawro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Monty Rogers in the 10th minute of play. In the 13th match minute, USA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Raphael Moore to maneuver through the defense. Konstanty Wawro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Monty Rogers, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Nistor Sârban received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Marco Day came out and tried to block the shot, but Nistor Sârban slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 43rd minute. After the first half USA were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

57 minutes into the match, Rega Merida CF's goal looked a bit too open when Cassius Byrne came free, but Konstanty Wawro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nistor Sârban fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marco Day having to interfere. In the 92nd minute the ball was on its way in behind USA's goalkeeper Marco Day, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Sam Campbell could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 94th minute of the match, but Konstanty Wawro made a huge save. The Rega Merida CF fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. USA were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
