Eliseo Mina took the ball and in the 3 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Thom Threepwood. Thom Threepwood dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. The throw-in from Alonso Berganza in the 5th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Radiohead Freaks Club's Kendall Roy. 8 minutes into the game, Peru's Julian Murillo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Thom Threepwood made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Thom Threepwood showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julian Murillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cayo Mario in the 18th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rolando Noboa saved Peru from getting behind. If Milagros Fraga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rolando Noboa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cayo Mario in the 23rd minute of the match. In a very dangerous position, a player in Peru fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 24th minute. Penalty! The supporters of Radiohead Freaks Club booed when Peru was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luz Tejedor didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rolando Noboa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cayo Mario in the 37th minute. 40 minutes had been played when some careless play by Radiohead Freaks Club's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Luz Tejedor was slow to take the kick. During this time Peru's players had a chance to rest. In the 45th minute Cayo Mario shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Noboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Peru getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Alonso Berganza hit a great ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Cayo Mario in the 59th minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cayo Mario struck a weak shot in the 64th minute. Rolando Noboa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Radiohead Freaks Club. Rolando Noboa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cayo Mario, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 77th minute, Cayo Mario ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rolando Noboa was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. Rolando Noboa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cayo Mario in the 79th minute of the match. Thom Threepwood took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luz Tejedor, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Eliseo Mina had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Peru's Eliseo Alcocer was substituted for Moises Gayoso.
