Nikolay Bonkov was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The audience was convinced that Francisco Seco's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nikolay Bonkov was relentless in the 21st minute of the game. Joaquin Gayoso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pavol Stano in the 25th minute of play. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Pavol Stano stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice moves Francisco Seco could shoot a difficult shot in the 57th minute, which Nikolay Bonkov however easily saved by the left post. After 59 played minutes Uruguay got a freekick which was hit by Bruno Beldad. Antony Best took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 60th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Joaquin Gayoso. Uruguay's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. If Francisco Seco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Francisco Seco got free with Nikolay Bonkov in the 61st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Nikolay Bonkov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Francisco Seco, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. Uruguay's Francisco Seco got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With his leg Nikolay Bonkov managed to avoid a goal in the 67thth minute, when Uruguay's Francisco Seco fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Francisco Seco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 71 minutes into the game, Uruguay's Francisco Seco nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Nikolay Bonkov made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. After 74 played minutes Garlic Eaters got a freekick which was hit by Justin Collingwood. The Uruguay fans' excitement grew in the 77th match minute when Uruguay's Francisco Seco looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-5 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Nikolay Bonkov made an important save on a dangerous shot by Francisco Seco in the 81st minute. After 84 played minutes Uruguay got a freekick which was hit by Maximiliano Escribano. In the 85th minute Pavol Stano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joaquin Gayoso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Garlic Eaters's Nikolay Bonkov proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 93rd minute of the match, managed to save Garlic Eaters from getting a goal against them. Uruguay were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Garlic Eaters's much stronger midfield.
