The Costa Rica fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Octav Enciu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benito Sanz having to interfere. 41 minutes into the game, Juan Rubio threw the ball into play from the sideline. Batalionul U23 Dorobanti's Petru Marioteanu quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. The throw-in from Juan Rubio in the 42nd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Batalionul U23 Dorobanti's Petru Marioteanu. Avram Panaiteanu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lautaro Puig in the 44th minute of the match. If Axel Tasis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Batalionul U23 Dorobanti players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Costa Rica were winning 0-1.

Batalionul U23 Dorobanti's attentive Nechifor Cosoroabă managed to snatch the ball when Lautaro Puig made a throw-in in the 67th minute of the game. Eliseo Noboa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Avram Panaiteanu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Costa Rica's Axel Tasis in the 72nd minute got a chance for a shot 72nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie.
