Avram Panaiteanu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 69th minute of the game Milagros Cabal made a throw-in which Sebastian Villa played forward. When the match had gone on for 70 minutes, Edmundo Espiga took a quick shot and it went in 0-11 without a chance for Avram Panaiteanu to make any attempt to save it. The crowd rose to their feet as Honduras's Edmundo Espiga slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Avram Panaiteanu. That made the score 0-12 after 73 minutes of play. If Luca Espinar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A sloppy throw-in by Moises Tafalla in the 80th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Batalionul U23 Dorobanti's Mugur Alexandrescu. Avram Panaiteanu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edmundo Espiga, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. Christian Sancho took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 93rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Avram Panaiteanu. Batalionul U23 Dorobanti's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. When Nechifor Cosoroabă came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Batalionul U23 Dorobanti fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nechifor Cosoroabă couldn't finish the play. The Batalionul U23 Dorobanti fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Honduras were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
