Leon Veto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. After having played for 13 minutes, Sergio Sandalio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Atletico San Jacopino's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sergio Sandalio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 19th minute, Atletico San Jacopino's Er Didia dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Er Didia got free with Jonathan Ferrant in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Atletico San Jacopino's Er Didia got a free kick in the 25th minute. 29 minutes had been played when some careless play by Venezuela's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Sergio Sandalio was slow to take the kick. During this time Atletico San Jacopino's players had a chance to rest. Atletico San Jacopino's Sergio Sandalio was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Jonathan Ferrant in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The supporters of Venezuela booed when Atletico San Jacopino was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aldo Paganelli didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leon Veto, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Fedele Marzo kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Jonathan Ferrant. That made the score 2-0 in the 38 minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Tomas Illescas made the kick off in the second half. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Camilo Gaos during the 53rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Camilo Gaos hit a great ball. Fedele Marzo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Amos Atroce, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 75 minutes into the match, Atletico San Jacopino's goalkeeper Aurelio Di Luca had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tomas Illescas. When Atletico San Jacopino's Amos Atroce in the 80th minute got a chance for a shot 80th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Venezuela's goalie prevented a goal. Sergio Sandalio struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Jonathan Ferrant didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Atletico San Jacopino. Atletico San Jacopino walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
