Peru's Eliseo Mina managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Gilesindo Alonso in the 5 minute of the game. Rune Snäll made an important save on a dangerous shot by Julian Murillo in the 6th minute. Peru's attentive Eliseo Mina managed to snatch the ball when Gilesindo Alonso made a throw-in in the 9th minute of the game. When Peru's Julian Murillo in the 10th minute got a chance for a shot 10th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Rayo Tharkad's goalie prevented a goal. Rolando Noboa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hondo Arratia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Luz Tejedor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 12th minute Luz Tejedor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rune Snäll saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Peru booed when Rayo Tharkad was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Manolo Lacorte didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 20th minute the ball was on its way in behind Rayo Tharkad's goalkeeper Rune Snäll, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 23 minutes into the match, Rayo Tharkad's goal looked a bit too open when Julian Murillo came free, but Rune Snäll reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 24 minutes had been played when some careless play by Rayo Tharkad's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Luz Tejedor was slow to take the kick. During this time Peru's players had a chance to rest. Hector Dorado tried in the game's 25th match minute to clear up in front of his own goal but it went so bad that he put the ball into the goal to the left of an unhappy Rune Snäll. An annoying self made goal, 1-0. 31 minutes into the match, Peru's Julian Murillo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rune Snäll narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hondo Arratia in the 34th minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rayo Tharkad's Rune Snäll played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Murillo in the 41st minute of play. Peru's Eliseo Mina managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Hector Dorado in the 42 minute of the game.

In the 51st minute, Eliseo Mina left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Peru fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. Rayo Tharkad made a substitution. Oihan Aguado replaced Feliciano Roig. Alonso Berganza hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gilesindo Alonso during the 65th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 65 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Rayo Tharkad! A throw-in in the 73rd minute of the game was made by Hector Dorado with Zumar Figueroa as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Antonio Tenorio scored 5-0 in the 75th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rune Snäll, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 78 minutes of play, Peru's Antonio Tenorio made it 6-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rune Snäll was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Antonio Tenorio in the 85th minute of play forced Rayo Tharkad's goalkeeper Rune Snäll to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Peru's Eliseo Alcocer was substituted for Moises Gayoso. When the referee ended the match the Peru players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
