RACIN DE CHAWEN's Marco Pedriza proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 6th minute of the match, managed to save RACIN DE CHAWEN from getting a goal against them. Thiago Pliego took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rufo Serra, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. RACIN DE CHAWEN's Marco Pedriza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 11th minute of play. The throw-in from Tulio Mangas in the 12th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Chile's Pedro Indiano. Marco Pedriza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mariano Lacasa in the 16th minute of the match. 19 minutes into the match, RACIN DE CHAWEN's goalkeeper Marco Pedriza had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mariano Lacasa. Marco Pedriza came out of the goal in the 20th minute to try and stop a shot by Chile's Mariano Lacasa. But to his dismay, Mariano Lacasa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rufo Serra in the 25th minute of play forced Chile's goalkeeper Thiago Pliego to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Orlando Casaus could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but Marco Pedriza made a huge save. Marco Pedriza made a fantastic save in the 29th minute, when Mariano Lacasa sent off a good shot on target. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mariano Lacasa got free with Marco Pedriza in the 34th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Mariano Lacasa might have been able to make a better finish in the 35th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marco Pedriza. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mariano Lacasa ran back to his position shaking his head. With a little luck, RACIN DE CHAWEN's Marco Pedriza got control of the ball when Mariano Lacasa tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of RACIN DE CHAWEN booed when Chile was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Francisco Carballar didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mariano Lacasa stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Otto Kartasasmita had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Thiago Pliego. Chile's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Otto Kartasasmita was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. After a rather tough play, RACIN DE CHAWEN's Wellington Flores got a free kick in the 56th minute. In the 56th minute of the match Mariano Lacasa shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Marco Pedriza showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Mariano Lacasa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 58th minute of play forced RACIN DE CHAWEN's goalkeeper Marco Pedriza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mariano Lacasa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marco Pedriza read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 61st minute of play. Marcelino Verdeja fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Thiago Pliego having to interfere. RACIN DE CHAWEN made a substitution. Donzel Sobera replaced Tulio Mangas. Caetano Galnares scored 1-4 in the 73rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Thiago Pliego, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 76 played minutes RACIN DE CHAWEN got a freekick which was hit by Donzel Sobera. Rufo Serra recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Otto Kartasasmita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Thiago Pliego tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 91st minute, Mariano Lacasa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The RACIN DE CHAWEN supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing RACIN DE CHAWEN would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
