Ediberto de Queirós fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 2nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marco Day having to interfere. 5 minutes into the game, Carlos Mei cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Marco Day was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. A hard shot 11 in the game by Adrián-Daniel Dobre from a close distance when the talented Marco Day managed to make a qualified save. USA's players were relieved. Marco Day took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mihăiţă Stolniceanu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Adrián-Daniel Dobre could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 14th minute of the match, but Marco Day made a huge save. With a little luck, USA's Marco Day got control of the ball when Mihăiţă Stolniceanu tried to sneak it across the goal line. Mihăiţă Stolniceanu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mihăiţă Stolniceanu succeeded in the game's 38th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-0. Cassius Byrne received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Lyle Coppack tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to USA getting a freekick after 48 minutes play. Edward Mcdonald hit a great ball.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mihăiţă Stolniceanu to strike the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the match, Erdélyi SE Marosvásárhely's goal looked a bit too open when Monty Rogers came free, but Lyle Coppack reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marco Day showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mihăiţă Stolniceanu, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. The audience was convinced that Mihăiţă Stolniceanu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Marco Day was relentless in the 59th minute of the game. Sam Campbell replaced Cassius Byrne. Erdélyi SE Marosvásárhely's Ferdinand Zmărăndache was substituted for Ediberto de Queirós. Marco Day didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Adrián-Daniel Dobre went, in the 73rd minute, to the upper right corner, 5-1 was the resulting score. Marco Day made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adrián-Daniel Dobre in the 76th minute of play. USA's Marco Baker was substituted for Edward Mcdonald. In the 80th minute USA were awarded a corner. Jenson Smith went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led to USA's Sam Campbell getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Sam Campbell could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 92nd minute of the match, but Lyle Coppack made a huge save. USA's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Jenson Smith in the 94th minute. Carlos Mei charged in rather forcefully in the 95th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Carlos Mei the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 95th match minute, Erdélyi SE Marosvásárhely was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carlos Mei to maneuver through the defense. Lyle Coppack made a fantastic save in the 96th minute, when Sam Campbell sent off a good shot on target. The Erdélyi SE Marosvásárhely players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
