The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot. In the 15th minute, Habib Akkoç ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonathan Ferrant was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Habib Akkoç in the 22nd minute of play. In the 33rd minute, Habib Akkoç got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from 徐潮竞 in the 39th minute of play. 43 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when 徐潮竞 came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 徐潮竞 took the ball and in the 46 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-5. Disappointed in the 0-5 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tomas Illescas was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jose Correa to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Habib Akkoç in the 55th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Jonathan Venegas fell near the penalty area in the 61st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Venezuela's protests and gave Jonathan Venegas a yellow card for diving instead. Jonathan Venegas hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. Jose Correa kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. 张兴常 struck a weak shot in the 68th minute.
