Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Axel Tasis made the kick off which started today's match. Lautaro Puig received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Angelino Eufrasio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 10 minutes AKD's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Axel Tasis who took care of the corner kick. A well-hit corner resulted in Alan Moruga heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Celso Porfirio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Angelino Eufrasio didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Axel Tasis went, in the 14th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Abel Carballo hit a great ball. Aaron Alcocer hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Lautaro Puig recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 24 minutes into the game, Lautaro Puig was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Costa Rica's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave AKD the free kick. In the 24th match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lautaro Puig to maneuver through the defense. 27 minutes into the match, AKD's goal looked a bit too open when Aaron Alcocer came free, but Angelino Eufrasio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Angelino Eufrasio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Axel Tasis, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Costa Rica's zone, Abel Garaona stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Benito Sanz came out of the goal and Abel Garaona tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Celso Porfirio managed to get in a good position for a shot. AKD's supporters rose to their feet, but Celso Porfirio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Benito Sanz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Benito Sanz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Abel Garaona in the 41st minute. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.
A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Alexander Carballo hit a great ball. Abel Garaona fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benito Sanz having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Hugo Ferrant got a free kick in the 56th minute. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Celso Porfirio in the 59th minute of play. Celso Porfirio scored 1-1 in the 61st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Benito Sanz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Eliseo Noboa got free with Angelino Eufrasio in the 77th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. AKD's attentive Anastasio Bieito managed to snatch the ball when Hugo Ferrant made a throw-in in the 82nd minute of the game. Benito Sanz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Celso Porfirio, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. AKD were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
