After taking down the ball on Panama's corner Matthew Garrido fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Erik Thorstvedt quite easily take care of the ball. In the 23rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Barrikako Herensugeak F.C's goalkeeper Erik Thorstvedt, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 24th minute of the match Panama got a corner. Barrikako Herensugeak F.C's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Abraham Alguacil ran over to the corner to take the kick. Unax Ondategui kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. Erik Thorstvedt stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tomas Berganza's shot from short distance in the 36th minute. In the 39th minute Tomas Berganza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erik Thorstvedt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Matthew Garrido fell near the penalty area in the 41st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Panama's protests and gave Matthew Garrido a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Panama's Matthew Garrido got a free kick in the 41st minute. Vitor Cambero hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. If Tomas Berganza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

After 52 played minutes Barrikako Herensugeak F.C got a freekick which was hit by Unax Ondategui. Tomas Berganza recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 58th minute, Dylan Sarmiento hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Marcos Cotilla stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Michel Hervé's shot from short distance in the 64th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jokin Bernal in the 65th minute of play forced Panama's goalkeeper Marcos Cotilla to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Barrikako Herensugeak F.C's Erik Thorstvedt proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 68th minute of the match, managed to save Barrikako Herensugeak F.C from getting a goal against them. In the 72nd minute of the game, Jokin Bernal landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. After 72 minutes, Dylan Sarmiento mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Panama and the Barrikako Herensugeak F.C players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Panama's Dylan Sarmiento got a free kick in the 73rd minute. The supporters of Barrikako Herensugeak F.C booed when Panama was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dylan Sarmiento didn't get a good kick on the ball. Abraham Alguacil came free with the goalkeeper in the 78th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Erik Thorstvedt could save by the left post. Abraham Alguacil sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet as Panama's Tomas Berganza slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Erik Thorstvedt. That made the score 0-2 after 82 minutes of play. After 89 minutes, Pepe Galnares mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Barrikako Herensugeak F.C and the Panama players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 91 played minutes Panama got a freekick which was hit by Alex Cambeiro. If Miguel Miralles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Panama played a much better game than Barrikako Herensugeak F.C and deserved their victory. The Barrikako Herensugeak F.C players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
