In the 10th match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Felix Montenegro to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mateo Flores in the 11th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Joel Laffitte hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. 14 minutes into the match, Dep. Morón 1947's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Jack Nicholson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mateo Flores's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 22nd minute of play. Jack Nicholson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 29th minute of the match. If Mateo Flores had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 33 minutes into the match, Dep. Morón 1947's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Jack Nicholson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jack Nicholson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 39 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Mateo Flores came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Primitivo Andino hit a great ball. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mateo Flores was the one to do the kick off. 56 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Ronny Rudø came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mateo Flores's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 69th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Dep. Morón 1947's Rencio Armada got a free kick in the 80th minute. 82 minutes into the match, Dep. Morón 1947's goalkeeper Jack Nicholson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cristian Sancho. In the 83rd minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. Dep. Morón 1947's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Daniel Zorita almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Dep. Morón 1947's Jack Nicholson did a great save. Mateo Flores sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Ecuador were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Dep. Morón 1947 to leave the ground with a draw.
