Rogério Ceni made a fantastic save in the 10th minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. After 11 minutes Diamante Negro DK - VV's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Daniel Zorita got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Rogério Ceni quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 13th match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Antonio Arias to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Ecuador's zone, Christian Antonelli stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Vera came out of the goal and Christian Antonelli tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Julio Vera didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Vinícius Servaes went, in the 16th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. 19 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rogério Ceni narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 21 minutes, Vinícius Servaes made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Ecuador's Julio Vera tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After having played for 24 minutes, Vinícius Servaes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Diamante Negro DK - VV's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vinícius Servaes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. José Paulo Mattos hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. In the 36th minute Vinícius Servaes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 41stth minute of the game Vinícius Servaes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 44 minutes into the game, Diamante Negro DK - VV's Vinícius Servaes nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Julio Vera made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. Primitivo Andino hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. After 49 minutes Ecuador's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Christian Antonelli who took care of the corner kick. A collision led to Diamante Negro DK - VV getting a freekick after 49 minutes play. Frederico Pontes hit a great ball. After the first half Diamante Negro DK - VV were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Vinícius Servaes was the one to do the kick off. In the 54thth minute of the game Vinícius Servaes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Jerônimo Salles's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 56th minute of play. Diamante Negro DK - VV's Rogério Ceni played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 59th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Daniel Zorita in the 63rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rogério Ceni prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 91st minute, Juan Sebastián Puig hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vinícius Servaes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Diamante Negro DK - VV players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
