An unexpectedly hard shot by Willian Félix in the 17th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vinícius Servaes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Daniel Zorita in the 20th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rogério Ceni prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Diamante Negro DK - VV's Christian Antonelli was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Julio Vera in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 25th minute, Diamante Negro DK - VV's Vinícius Servaes ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Julio Vera. Julio Vera yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 28th minute of the game. One of Ecuador:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Diamante Negro DK - VV:s goal. In the 36th minute the ball was on its way in behind Diamante Negro DK - VV's goalkeeper Rogério Ceni, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 39th match minute, Diamante Negro DK - VV was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Christian Antonelli to maneuver through the defense. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 43rd minute of the game Primitivo Andino made a throw-in which Felix Montenegro played forward. With a little luck, Ecuador's Julio Vera got control of the ball when Vinícius Servaes tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Ecuador's zone, Vinícius Servaes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Vera came out of the goal and Vinícius Servaes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Cristian Sancho made the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Diamante Negro DK - VV was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 50 match minutes in a wonderful position. Victor Silva didn't get a good kick on the ball. 51 minutes into the match, Diamante Negro DK - VV's goalkeeper Rogério Ceni had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Felix Montenegro. In the 51st minute, Ecuador's Felix Montenegro ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Rogério Ceni. Rogério Ceni yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-2. After 60 played minutes Diamante Negro DK - VV got a freekick which was hit by Victor Silva. A collision led to Diamante Negro DK - VV getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Victor Silva hit a great ball. Victor Silva kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. In the 84th minute, Cristian Sancho reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Rogério Ceni. The goal made the score 2-3. 87 minutes into the match, Diamante Negro DK - VV's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Rogério Ceni reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 89 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Vinícius Servaes came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Primitivo Andino hit a great ball. In the 95th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When the match was over Ecuador could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Diamante Negro DK - VV throughout the match.
