Jonathan Ferrant was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Andrézinho Mota, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 73 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Camilo Gaos. Jonathan Ferrant stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dênis Tepedino's shot from short distance in the 75th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Illescas in the 77th minute of play forced Superação's goalkeeper Fellipe Meira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal and Andrézinho Mota tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
