Peru made a substitution. Peru's Rolando Noboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by 张益沙 in the 89th minute of play. 张益沙 took the ball and in the 92 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rolando Noboa. Rolando Noboa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Peru eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
