Karol Ciszewski could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 30th minute of the match, but Demonde Jacobson made a huge save. 35 minutes into the match, Jamaica's Finlay Stair sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Szczepan Winszman narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Karlus Waugh fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Szczepan Winszman having to interfere. After 37 played minutes Jamaica got a freekick which was hit by Romon Oliver. Jamaica's Demonde Jacobson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 40th minute of the match, managed to save Jamaica from getting a goal against them. Romon Oliver charged in rather forcefully in the 41st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Romon Oliver the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Romon Oliver kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. Jamaica's Demonde Jacobson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Radomil Skorny in the 45th minute of play. Demonde Jacobson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ksawery Fleischer in the 47th minute.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Finlay Stair to make the kick off.
