Iordache Minea took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eduardo Fontirroig, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Eduardo Fontirroig fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Iordache Minea having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Bolivia's Eduardo Fontirroig got a free kick in the 80th minute. 81 minutes into the game, Marian Drogoreanu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player.
