Spectators: 47 (Terracing: 36, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 0) Recolta Alamor's Chris Bateman started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Joaquin Gayoso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cyprian Rosen, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. After a rather tough play, Recolta Alamor's Roberto Contreras got a free kick in the 8th minute. Yoel Quevedo came out of the goal in the 9th minute to try and stop a shot by Uruguay's Maximiliano Escribano. But to his dismay, Maximiliano Escribano quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. The audience was convinced that Chris Bateman's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Joaquin Gayoso was relentless in the 17th minute of the game. In the 79th match minute, Uruguay was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jorge Sainz to maneuver through the defense. The coaching staff of Uruguay protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Kevin Carballal had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Emmanuel Pennington received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Joaquin Gayoso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Emmanuel Pennington took the ball and in the 96 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Joaquin Gayoso. Joaquin Gayoso dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Uruguay had won after a very even match.
