In the 41st minute the ball was on its way in behind Alijilán returns's goalkeeper Victor Erauso, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 41st minute, Julian Murillo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Victor Erauso was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Murillo in the 44th minute of play forced Alijilán returns's goalkeeper Victor Erauso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Peru's supporters crossed their fingers, but Milagros Fraga was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 63 minutes into the match, Peru's goal looked a bit too open when Wang Cheng Xiang came free, but Rolando Noboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Julian Murillos short, quick shot in the 64thth minute got Victor Erauso to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The audience thought a goal was coming when Milagros Fraga got free with Victor Erauso in the 66th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Alijilán returns's Juan Gaute got a free kick in the 68th minute. Alijilán returns's Victor Erauso proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 71st minute of the match, managed to save Alijilán returns from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adilson Rocha in the 77th minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
