In the 27th match minute, Honduras was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Christian Sancho to maneuver through the defense. 32 minutes into the match, Lillhärdal BF's goal looked a bit too open when Sebastian Villa came free, but Petter Lund reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. They had fought hard, but were still losing 7-0.

Honduras's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edmundo Espiga was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
