Rune Snäll was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Joel Gaona showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 14 minute of play. Rune Snäll made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 17th minute. Apoena Ocaña recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rune Snäll showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 22nd minute of the match. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Apoena Ocaña in the 23rd minute of play. With a little luck, Rayo Tharkad's Rune Snäll got control of the ball when Lautaro Mancebo tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Mexico booed when Rayo Tharkad was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Joel Gaona made a kick off. Joel Gaona hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. Joel Gaona received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Rune Snäll tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Apoena Ocaña sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 68th minute, Alberto Tafalla made a precise shot to the right of Rune Snäll. Rayo Tharkad's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. Alberto Tafalla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rune Snäll having to interfere. Luca Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Rune Snäll tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Rayo Tharkad's Macerio Caballero got a free kick in the 83rd minute. In the 89th minute, Luca Zorita left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Mexico fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0. Facundo Cadaval scored 6-0 in the 94th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rune Snäll, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When the referee ended the match the Mexico players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
