In the 84th minute of the match Abraham Alguacil sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Fellipe Meira skillfully saved the ball. The audience was convinced that Tomas Berganza's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fellipe Meira was relentless in the 88th minute of the game. In the 89th match minute, Superação was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Guto de Barros to maneuver through the defense. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Leonel Messias during the 95th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Panama booed when Superação was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leonel Messias didn't get a good kick on the ball. For all the effort they put into the match, the Superação players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Panama.
