Heinz-Gerd Bonin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 3rd minute of the match. Andras Gafus kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. Matti Erkiner struck a weak shot in the 7th minute. Julio Vera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for 1.FC Aufbau-Einsturz. Matti Erkiner's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 9th minute of play. In the 9th minute, 1.FC Aufbau-Einsturz's Matti Erkiner dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. 12 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Andras Gafus came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Heinz-Gerd Bonin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 13th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Matti Erkiner got free with Julio Vera in the 16th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 16 minutes into the game, Matti Erkiner recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Julio Vera. Matti Erkiner showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Matti Erkiner in the 19th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 22nd minute of play forced 1.FC Aufbau-Einsturz's goalkeeper Heinz-Gerd Bonin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, 1.FC Aufbau-Einsturz's Matti Erkiner got a free kick in the 25th minute. In the 27th minute, Freerk Sauer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 35th minute, Primitivo Andino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Andras Gafus might have been able to make a better finish in the 37th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Julio Vera. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Andras Gafus ran back to his position shaking his head. The referee felt a red card was in order, 38 minutes into the game, when Freerk Sauer put in a rough tackle. After 38 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for 1.FC Aufbau-Einsturz! Heinz-Gerd Bonin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Agustín Saelices, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Kert Kuningas to make the kick off. With a little luck, 1.FC Aufbau-Einsturz's Heinz-Gerd Bonin got control of the ball when Cristian Sancho tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Andras Gafus's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 64th minute of play. Felix Montenegro in the 69thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Heinz-Gerd Bonin, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The crowd rose to their feet as Ecuador's Cristian Sancho slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Heinz-Gerd Bonin. That made the score 2-1 after 87 minutes of play. Andras Gafus charged in rather forcefully in the 95th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Andras Gafus the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Ecuador booed when 1.FC Aufbau-Einsturz was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Andras Gafus didn't get a good kick on the ball. 1.FC Aufbau-Einsturz's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
