The La Caprichosa FC fans' excitement grew in the 19th match minute when La Caprichosa FC's Leon Enaut looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The supporters of Ecuador booed when La Caprichosa FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aquiles Bladi didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Luis Andino managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Luis Andino was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ciro Pacifico breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Leon Enaut made a kick off. Felix Montenegro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ciro Pacifico having to interfere. Ciro Pacifico made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 55th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Radek Saska's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julio Vera was relentless in the 61st minute of the game. The audience thought a goal was coming when Agustín Saelices got free with Ciro Pacifico in the 67th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. La Caprichosa FC's Ciro Pacifico proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 71st minute of the match, managed to save La Caprichosa FC from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Ecuador booed when La Caprichosa FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leo Raulo didn't get a good kick on the ball. La Caprichosa FC made a substitution. 姚旭翀 replaced Leon Enaut. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 81st minute of play forced La Caprichosa FC's goalkeeper Ciro Pacifico to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luis Andino kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. If Radek Saska had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When the match was over Ecuador could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than La Caprichosa FC throughout the match.
