After some careless play in the 无锡联队 defense, Joel Gaona kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Valentin Wæversø. The 无锡联队 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Valentin Wæversø should have stopped the shot. 无锡联队's 赵南珂 was substituted for Genaro Remicio. Joel Gaona struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Valentin Wæversø didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mexico. In the 95th minute, Lorenzo Cazalla hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 无锡联队's 江响夕 couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 95th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Mexico. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
