Jacek Ptaszek made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Murillo in the 37th minute of play. 38 minutes into the match, Suprs Academia's goal looked a bit too open when Julian Murillo came free, but Jacek Ptaszek reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Peru's Eliseo Mina quite brazenly broke a throw-in by António Silva, made in the 41st minute of the game. After 45 minutes of play, Peru's Eliseo Mina made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jacek Ptaszek was left in no man's land by his defense there! Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Amílcar Leiria to strike the kick off in the second half. Rolando Noboa made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. The audience thought a goal was coming when Julian Murillo got free with Jacek Ptaszek in the 63rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Rolando Noboa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Macit Sağıt in the 68th minute of play. Suprs Academia's Burt Cawthorne was substituted for Bai Shi Ao. In the 73rd minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jacek Ptaszek saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Suprs Academia's Jacek Ptaszek proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 75th minute of the match, managed to save Suprs Academia from getting a goal against them. In the 78th minute of the match, Milagros Fraga got a very nice opportunity to score, but Jacek Ptaszek was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post.
