Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Piratas FC's Constantino Idacio started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Raimond Lenk having to interfere. Cristian Sancho struck a weak shot in the 14th minute. Raimond Lenk didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. 19 minutes into the match, Piratas FC's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Raimond Lenk reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 20 minutes Piratas FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. Piratas FC's Raimond Lenk played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 22nd minute of play. Julio Vera made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nunez Hernandez in the 27th minute. Raimond Lenk showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 31st minute of the match. In the 32nd minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Raimond Lenk saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 33 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Spyros Zacharioudakis came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 35 minutes Ecuador's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Esteban Iztal who took care of the corner kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Ecuador's goalie and right to Spyros Zacharioudakis. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Ecuador's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. In the 39th minute Felix Montenegro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Raimond Lenk saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Nunez Hernandez came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Piratas FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nunez Hernandez couldn't finish the play. A sloppy throw-in by Luis Andino in the 45th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Piratas FC's Amadeo Francesco. 46 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Constantino Idacio. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Daniel Zorita was the one to do the kick off. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Constantino Idacio in the 51st minute of play. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 56 minutes into the match, Piratas FC's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Raimond Lenk reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Agustín Saelices got free with Raimond Lenk in the 62nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 65th minute, Piratas FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Daniel Zorita fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Cristian Sancho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Raimond Lenk read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 67th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Constantino Idacio in the 68th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 68 minutes into the game, Constantino Idacio cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Julio Vera was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Raimond Lenk tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Raimond Lenk showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. 77 minutes into the game, Kryspin Degutis was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Piratas FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ecuador the free kick. A collision led to Piratas FC getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Kryspin Degutis hit a great ball. In the 78th minute, Amadeo Francesco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Raimond Lenk made a fantastic save in the 85th minute, when Cristian Sancho sent off a good shot on target. 87 minutes into the match, Cristian Sancho notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Piratas FC's Raimond Lenk. Raimond Lenk was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Cristian Sancho fell near the penalty area in the 94th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ecuador's protests and gave Cristian Sancho a yellow card for diving instead. Ecuador were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
