With a little luck, Globalización's Dante Frascuelo got control of the ball when Cassius Byrne tried to sneak it across the goal line. Dante Frascuelo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cassius Byrne in the 29th minute. In the 31st minute, Zach Harrison hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Zach Harrison got free with Dante Frascuelo in the 40th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in Globalización's zone, Cassius Byrne stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dante Frascuelo came out of the goal and Cassius Byrne tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dionisio Guter's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marco Day read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 45th minute of play. In the 46th minute of the match Globalización got a corner. USA's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Juan Txilar ran over to the corner to take the kick. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Globalización made a substitution. Edelmiro Reno replaced Alejandro Ascencio. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cassius Byrne made a kick off. In the 52ndth minute of the game Monty Rogers who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Globalización's Dante Frascuelo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 60 minutes into the match, USA's goal looked a bit too open when Dionisio Guter came free, but Marco Day reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Globalización's Dante Frascuelo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Monty Rogers in the 61st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cassius Byrne in the 64th minute of play forced Globalización's goalkeeper Dante Frascuelo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 65th minute, Monty Rogers left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The USA fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Globalización's Artemio Urbasa was substituted for Dionisio Guter. In the 70th minute, Monty Rogers ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dante Frascuelo was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. USA made a substitution. Sam Campbell replaced Cassius Byrne. A collision led to Globalización getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Francisco Ospin hit a great ball. In the 75th match minute, Globalización was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Francisco Ospin to maneuver through the defense. Edelmiro Reno kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. USA made a substitution. Marco Baker replaced Edward Mcdonald. USA made a substitution. Khalid Parry replaced Monty Rogers. Edelmiro Reno hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. Artemio Urbasa took the ball and in the 84 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Marco Day. Marco Day dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-2. A collision led to Globalización getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Aurelian Vorniceanu hit a great ball. 90 minutes into the game, USA's Khalid Parry nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dante Frascuelo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-2. In the 94th minute Sam Campbell shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Frascuelo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. USA had played much better football throughout.
