Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Ecuador's Daniel Zorita started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 4 minutes into the match, CACYFA's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Luis Quirce reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cristian Sancho scored 0-1 in the 6th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Luis Quirce, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Cristian Sancho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 13 minutes into the game, Cristian Sancho cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Luis Quirce was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Agustín Saelices in the 21st minute of play forced CACYFA's goalkeeper Luis Quirce to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 24 minutes into the match, CACYFA's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Luis Quirce reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luis Quirce showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. CACYFA's Luis Quirce played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 27th minute of play. When Gaspar Dunixi came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the CACYFA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gaspar Dunixi couldn't finish the play. In the 30th minute, Antonio Arias hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Ecuador's Julio Vera got control of the ball when Faustino Cuarto tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 32nd minute CACYFA were awarded a corner. Faustino Cuarto went to the cornerflag to take it. Gaspar Dunixi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 35th minute of play. 36 minutes had been played when some careless play by Ecuador's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Faustino Cuarto was slow to take the kick. During this time CACYFA's players had a chance to rest. In the 39th minute of the match Daniel Zorita shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Luis Quirce showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Gaspar Dunixi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 44th minute of play. In the 45th minute CACYFA were awarded a corner. Faustino Cuarto went to the cornerflag to take it. After the first half Ecuador were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Felix Montes kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. 53 minutes into the match, CACYFA's goal looked a bit too open when Luis Andino came free, but Luis Quirce reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 58th minute, Gaspar Dunixi made a precise shot to the right of Julio Vera. Ecuador's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. Emil Tomasson hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. In the 61st minute, Adolfo Jorrin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gaspar Dunixi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, Gaspar Dunixi managed to get in a good position for a shot. CACYFA's supporters rose to their feet, but Gaspar Dunixi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Julio Vera breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. CACYFA's Luis Quirce played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 72nd minute of play. 74 minutes into the match, CACYFA's Gaspar Dunixi sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Julio Vera narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 77 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Gaspar Dunixi came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 80 minutes into the game, Antonio Arias was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ecuador's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave CACYFA the free kick. After 81 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Antonio Arias. 83 minutes into the match, CACYFA's goalkeeper Luis Quirce had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Zorita. Luis Quirce took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 87th minute, Daniel Zorita hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gaspar Dunixi in the 88th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The CACYFA players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
